This is a picture of my family on the James side. It was taken on thankgiving by Kathy T. And was the day before Jamie and I got married! It was a very fun day.

I DID IT!!

SO I finally did it! I donated plasma! As most of you know, Jamie has been donating twice a week for sometime now, and it has been a great source of extra cash for us. Since we are trying to save money for our trip to Mississippi, we decided a while ago that I would try to donate as well. Unfortunately I am a bit of a chicken and have been finding excuses for months now. Saturday I ran out of excuses and woke up early just so I could get an appointment. When you are donating for the first time it is a very strenuous process. First off the place opens at 8, however if you are a new donor you have to make an appointment which is on a first come first serve basis, so I was told to be at the doors an hour early to make sure that I got an appointment. So there I was waiting in the freezing cold for an hour while I waited to make an appointment. Once I was in I started with the questions, exams, and other obstacles to make sure that I am cleared, healthy and have good blood! Then I go back to the lab and sit for an hour while they draw my blood, separate the plasma and then give me my blood back. From start to finish it was about an 4 hour process. From now on it should only take about one and 1/2 hours maybe two if it is busy. But I made 30 bucks and next time I will make 40. So not too bad. I was really nervous about how my body would react and if I would get sick. Mostly because the one time I donated blood I passed out in the bathroom of my school. However I was fine, the only time I felt a little light headed, was when the blood was being put back into my body, which they say is normal. The needle was HUGE though, I expected a longer big needle, but this needle was the size and shape of a Capri sun juice box straw!!And was a bit more painful then I had hoped for, but I survived just fine! Jamie was very proud of me, and will be there with me in the future!

Jamie is doing very well in his new major and continues to really enjoy it. He did very well on his first test for the new major, and I think that was the most exciting part for me. I am so happy to see him succeed, especially after having such trouble before. I am so proud of him, and I know he will continue to be amazing!

Thats all for now, hope all is well

I Couldn't Resist!

So you are probably wondering who these people are, but I couldn't resist! This is my niece Karma and her dad (Jamies brother) Curbris! They live in Arizona, so of course for the big game they had to show support for their team! I think they did an amazing job! I love it!! Go Cardinals!

As big as the eye can see

Yet again, due to Jamies amazing work in the Student Honor Association, we were able to take an exciting trip this weekend. First off I would like to apologize for not having any pictures of the amazing place I am about to describe, but I still can not find my camra charger, and even the website for this place didnt have any picture! BLAH!!

In the last blog, Jamie mentioned how he had been planning a getway for this organization he is apart of known as "SHA" ( see above for deffenition of acramyn)and after much planning and headeaches, the weekend for the big even had finally arrived. Friday afternoon Jamie and I headed up in a mini van (curtisey of BYU) full of food, from a local resturant known as Cota Vida, 15 gallons of milk for the 20 some odd boxes of cereal, cakes, and fruit. You may be wondering why so much food, well there was about 65 people coming to this occasion!! So you can imagine how packed our van was.

We then hit the road and traveled south to a town know as springville, just past springville there is a beautiful canyon which rides into the mountains. Through this canyon lies AMAZING and HUGE houses, honestly if you thought the places in Alpine were big, these were double most of those in size!! Any way after about 45 min we arrived at this mansion. The story behind this place is that a couple built the home as a get away for their family and all their grandchildren, later they left on a mission so they gave the house to the church, and now it is used as a resting place for all kinds of events. Here are the stats on the place:

. A 20,000 squar-foot lodge situated on 50 acres with its priavte lake.
. 8 + bedrooms, each with a private bathroom
. A privet room blocked off for when the prophet comes to stay!
. Large kitchen with two stoves, sinks and dining areas with two great
wooden dining tables
. Two gigantic living rooms with really nice couches and a fireplace
. An Expansive great room with additional seating
. Indoor gym with basketball/volleyball court
. Indoor tree house! Yes that is right a tree house with a inside tree and
everything, connected to a full on playground
. Outdoor amphithearter with fire pit
. Two pool tables, two ping pong tables, air hockey table, big screen TV
Stereo system and of course a piano

This place was truely amazing!! We had a blast for the two days we were there, and got to relax and enjoy ourself. And jamie's planning and hard work was a great success! He is just an amazing man!

Sunday was of course the Super Bowl, and I truely enjoyed the game this year, although I was sort of rooting for the cardnals, and was disapointed by their loss, but Jamie and I had a lot of fun going up to our friends house in Alpine and eating food and laughing at the comercials, I was actually a little disapointed this year, and only thought a few were any good! All in all it was a good weekened and now I am back to reality with the crazy school week I am going to have!

Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend!
