Meanwhile my some of the fam has come to visit as well as drop off my brother Spencer for his first semester of college! That is so crazy to me. Back in California I have my first nephew, Stacy gave birth to her second child Luke Thomas on Monday, he is very cute. Jamie and I are doing well, I think we are both ready to cut back a bit on work and focus more on school! Not much to say
Nothing Special has been going on, basically my day has consisted of early morning work until 12 then I eat lunch and by then Jamie is home from his second job. He has one class from 3-5 so I usually drop him off at school and then either clean the house or go work out, pick up Jamie, start dinner, eat and currently watch the Olympics which I love! Finally bed then start all over again. So I guess I am saying sorry for not having anything special going on. Oh some exciting news is that in May the James family will be meeting together in Mississippi for the youngest James boy's , Terrance's, graduation. I have never been to the south so needless to say I am VERY EXCITED! Oh and just a side note today at work I was scrapping gum off tables,( you would be surprised by the amount of gum under the desk of college student, don't we get past that stage in Elementary school?) anyway you might think this is very gross but actually the way its done now in days it is really cool! I basically spray this stuff that freezes the gum it is so cool! I have to wear gloves b/c if it got on my skin I would suffer from frost bite, in fact b/c I am under a table a lot of the stuff get on my glove and it is so strong that my hand instantly gets quite cold and the glove starts to freeze as well! LOL Maybe you have to be there but trust me it will have you memorized for hours, well it did for me at least!

What it means to be a Daughter of God
Some of you may know that one of my challenges in life is one of self-worth and depression. Over the last couple years I have grown leaps and bounds, but that doesn't mean that I still don't have bad days. Today has been one of those days. I have learned that when I begin to feel this way there are certain things I do to help me get out of the slump. One thing I try to do is exercise, However today I felt impressed to pick up the August Ensign. I read a couple of articles and then I came to the visiting teaching message. For those who don't know the visiting teaching message is directed towards women and usually has short quotes from several different church leaders about a specific topic. This months topic was on being a daughter of god and having a Divine Destiny. As I read I was strongly impressed by the words from James E. Faust. I decided that I wanted to read the rest of his talk entitled "What it means to be a daughter of God". It was an amazing talk I would recommend all to read it. But I want to share a story from that talk...
"A mother wishing to encourage her young son in is piano studies, bought tickets for a performance of the great Polish pianist Paderewski. The night of the concert arrived and the mother and her son found their seats near the front of the concert hall. While the mother visited with friends, the boy slipped quietly away. Suddenly it was time for the performance to begin and a single spotlight cut through the darkness of the concert hall to illuminate the grand piano on stage. Only then did the audience notice the little boy on the bench innocently picking out 'Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star.' His mother gasped but before she could move, Paderewski appeared on stage and quickly moved to the keyboard. He whispered to the boy, Don't quit. Keep playing. And then leaning over the master reached down with his left hand and began filling in the bass part. Soon he right arm reached around the other side, encircling the child, to add a running obbligato. Together, the old master and the young novice held the crowd mesmerized.
"In our lives unpolished though we may be, it is the Master who surrounds us and whispers in our ear, time and time again. DON'T QUIT. KEEP PLAYING. And as we do, He augments and supplements until a work of amazing beauty is created. He is right there with all of us, telling us over and over, Keep Playing."
I want to bear my Testimony that I know this is true I have felt over and over again as I have today my heavenly father wrap his arms around me and say Don't quit... Keep playing. I so thankful for a loving heavenly father who know me and my trials and who never leaves me. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ Amen
