Yea... That's right... I make cute babies!

Julian is now 2 weeks old. He had his "Well Baby" check up with his doctor yesterday. He now Weighs 8 lbs 1 oz. The nurse who took his weight told me "He is so cute" I said "Thank you" thinking she has to say that, but then she continued " And I see a lot of babies so when I say he is cute, I mean it!" Yea, that's right, I make cute babies! LOL Julian usually sleeps about 3-4 hours before waking up at night, so not bad. He hates having his diaper changed, and unfortunately he poops and pees a lot, so that makes for many diaper changes. Jamie and I both have been peed on many times in the process of diaper changing or during bath time. Julian really is a good baby, he hardly ever cries, and the few times he does it is more of a whimper than a cry. The doctor said that Julian looks very healthy, and when he put him on his stomach to see his strength he was blown away that Julian basically props himself up all by himself.
Yesterday during tummy time he pulled himself up on his knees and arms, and then rolled over. It wasn't just a fluke either because he did it three other times after that!

All in all life is good and Jamie and I are doing well. We love having Julian in our home and look forward to seeing him grow.

Julian Update

So, Julian's Bili-Rubin level went down from 15.9 to 7.2. We are very excited because now he can sleep in his bassinet. He is growing and getting cuter by the day. I just have to say that becoming a father has been the greatest life changing event to me. And I am so happy to share this with Stephanie. I truly feel that I was born to be a father and am blessed to have such great parents as an example. Life is one of God's greatest gifts to man.

We are FAMILY!

I would just like to say, that I have the most amazing family! Growing up, I often had trouble finding my place in my family, but as the years pass, and especially as I start my own family, I realize how amazing my family is! The weekend of my due date my parents and the two siblings still at home came out to visit! It was so nice to have them all here. Unfortunately Julian didn't come in time, and my dad and siblings had to return home!

My mom stayed though! I love my mom very much. It was so great to have her here, and because Julian was a week late, she even put aside her very busy schedule back home to spend more time with me! My house has never looked better! LOL She organized everything and deep cleaned (something I haven't really had time to do between school and working two jobs) Thank you mom for all you do, you truly are amazing!

Then I had a great surprise when the door bell rang and I found a package at my door!I opened it up to find some super cute and incredibly delicious chocolate dipped strawberries from Sherries Berries! The package was from my older sister Stacy, and her family! I had such an overwhelming feeling of love and support!

I am so thankful for my family, and I am truly blessed!

In further news! My little glow worm was given a clean bill of health yesterday! It was a very long and emotional 6 days of bili lights 24 hours a day except to feed Julian, but we are very happy that his bilirubin count is down and he is now free! He really did look like that old 80's toy called the glow worm, where the face would light up!

Jamie and I are doing well, sleep is still scares but that was to be expected. We are just happy that our little boy is here!

Julian Thompson James has arrived!

Hello friends and Family. On July 12 at 7:55 am, Julian Thompson James came into the world weighing 7 lbs 11 oz, and 18 1/2 inches long! We are so happy he is here! We found out today that our little guy is has a high Bilirubin count, so needless to say it has been a long day of getting home and getting our little guy under lights 24 hours a day! Therefore, I do not have pictures posted, but at the hospital there was a photographer who took pictures and posted them online to be shared and bought! Feel free to check them out at

Come and gone

Well my due date has come and gone, and still no little Julian, I guess that is to be expected especially with your first. I am having contractions just nothing really consistent or regular. I went to the doctor this morning and I am a little over 2 centimeters dilated. So I made another apt. and will be back in two day, Friday, where if there still is not much happening we will set a date to be induced! If I had been closer to three centimeters today I could have made an appointment today, but alas that was not the case. The doctor said that there is still a chance I will go into labor even before Friday, so I am really hoping that something gets started!

So anyway that is my quick little update, keep us in your prayers

Love, Stephanie
