Where has the time gone??

Well hello, everyone! It has been a while since my last post, and I am deeply sorry, please let me explain. In the middle of December, our Wireless Internet was not working, so in Jamies attempt to get things working our computer decided to shut, down. Jamie was able to reboot it, but everything was erased from our computer, and further more, the Internet still doesn't work. After that life got really crazy! Jamie lost his job, and then started the very long, on going process of getting a job, that he is very excited about, I started my internship, as well as picked up a shift at my old job to help with the non-exsistent paycheck. And that has left little time to sit on a computer. We are still in the process of getting everything worked out and hopefully soon I can post the many adorable pictures I took of Julian during his first Christmas!!

So just to do a little update before getting the big one with pictures posted. Everything is good, stressful, busy, and crazy (just to name a few adjectives) but we are surviving. Next week, Jamie flies off to Seattle (it was going to be Portland but is now Seattle)to have a final interview with the Pepsi Company to be the district sales leader. He is very excited for the opportunity, and really see's it as a "career" and not just a JOB. Julian is doing great, is growing, and started crawling last month! He is the light in our lives for sure, with a very contagious smile! As for me I am hanging in there!!

Grandma, since I know you read this (possibly more often than anyone else) I wanted to let you know that we did receive your Christmas gift, and have picture of it for you! Julian loves it! And I wanted to let you know Congrats of being Cancer Free!!! We love and miss all our Family, especially this past Holiday season, but we hope to see everyone soon!!

Explanation

So last night I was afraid the Internet would die, so I quickly wrote down my thoughts! But now I want to explain. I have always been on the hunt for healthy food, that taste really good, and that has substance. Before I was married it was easy to eat healthy because I was only preparing for myself, and I often had oatmeal for dinner. But then I met Jamie. Jamie loves food, he comes from a place and culture that is very much invested in food (and not the healthiest I might add) So needless to say I have struggled since we have gotten married to make dinners for Jamie and I that satisfy the healthy aspect as well as the taste for Jamie.

So that brings me to the blog www.skinnytaste.com! I am in LOVE with this site. There are hundred of recipes that take real food and the women who write it, just lightens the recipe to make it better for you! And she does it in a way that doesn't compromise taste. There is everything from dinners, snacks, and even desserts ( and real dessert at that, like brownies and cupcakes, not just some fruit cup) The last two weeks, I have made every dinner from this site, and I have not even begun to scratch the surface of recipes. Every single ones has been a hit!! I have not, not liked one yet!! Another great feature is that if you are on WW she breaks down the points so you know exactly the how much are in each recipe.

Here are some samples of what we have

Beef Empanadas
Chicken Divian (Chicken broccoli and cheese casserole)
Shrimp, zucchini pasta in a tomato sauce
Shepard's pie
Mac & Cheese

These are just a few to show that it is really good food, just lightend up. For a slimmer waist line!!

All is well... At least for now

Yesterday Julian and I waited 2 hours in the local hospital to spend 20 min with the specialist. He checked julians head and confirmed that julian does have a metatopic ridge. His sutcher are close together and his soft spot is small, however they are not fused or closed completely. So what does this mean? It means that julian does not need any surgery or helmet therapy, YEAH!! We will however be going back in two months to make sure primarily that there isnt any brain pressure building up. So all is well... At least for now. We are so thankful for everyones prayers, and we know they were many. We could'nt get through this without everyones support

Inner Conflict

I grew Up watching American Football, and especially the 49er's! I have many fond memories of gathering around the TV with yummy treats and enjoying a good game! Then a met Jamie, easily a bigger Football fan than I, and I was stunned to find out that his favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys, a long time rival of the 49er's! When we were dating we would text each other making fun of each others team on game day. So now that we are married, I often watch the cowboys more often, but I am still a 49er fan at heart! Jamie is determined to make Julian a cowboy's fan. And my father of course would like a grandchild that was a 49er fan. Therefore, I have a feeling that Julian is going to grow up with this inner conflict and here is the proof....

This is from when I went home in September. My Father E-mailed this picture to Jamie. When I got home this was Jamie's response...

Oh the fun of a good rivalry!
